Today we have one moment from Kayla and Chris’ Kansas City wedding at Guardian Angel Church and the Terrace on Grand. Kayla and Chris have a wonderful outlook on life and what matters. They approach things in a very laid back way and value family.
I was immediately drawn to this image when choosing for this post. It was right after the ceremony outside of the church. Kayla and her grandparents shared a very emotional moment of congratulations.
It is my job to pay attention to subtle things that are happening at a wedding or are part of the story. Sometimes these things are not obvious to me on the wedding but surface later. I felt this was the case with the image. Kayla’s grandfather was clearly emotional on the day especially during this moment when he saw his granddaughter right after the ceremony but when I looked at the image today I saw more. I loved all that was going on in this photo with Kayla seemingly having two moments at the same time, kissing her grandfather while sharing what I feel is a silent communication with her grandmother. I loved how everyone in their family so openly showed their emotions.
