As some of you may know, the Wirken clan just went on a family vacation. With two small kids a vacation is not something you do too often and you want to make the most of every moment because of that. This trip turned out to be more than I could have hoped for. We went for the Land Rover National Rally that was held in Leadville, Colorado. I was not too psyched about all the time in the truck, but this trip made me fall in love with Colorado all over again. Below are some images from our journey. Thank you Tyler for creating the memories, making me love nature and as always taking amazing images I will cherish forever.
We drove for 2 days to Frisco, Colorado. This is a wonderful little town in Summit County that is nestled in the mountains and is just as cute as could be. It did not take any of us long to get into a little routine while we were there and start to feel part of the community.
This is the house we rented. Absolutely kid heaven. I could not get the boys inside. All they wanted to do was play. Check out the view from the backyard too.
As I said, the trip was revolving around the rally, so we saw hundreds and hundreds of Land Rovers. All makes, models, years and from all locations. It was impressive. Even more impressive was some of the wonderful views we took in and the history lesson we got along the way. Tread lightly everyone.
So fun! I’ll be in CO here in a few weeks. Wahoo… these pictures have psyched me up even more. Your boys are darn precious.
That looks like it was a blast!! I can’t wait for more family vacations with my little girl 🙂
We just got back from Estes a month ago….and I feel the same. Colorado is awesome. I like these pictures too. Tyler is a master of photography.
