What a lovely change of pace this wedding was.
Stephanie and Jason are such a wonderful couple. I have enjoyed every bit of my time with them. From our adventurous engagement session downtown to their lovely intimate wedding at the Webster House. They are both very accomplished doctors here in Kansas City and just ooze confidence and calmness. They know what they like and what they want and it showed on their wonderful wedding day.
They wanted a small intimate event with great friends, family, food, and most importantly fabulous cake! Stephanie put so much thought and effort into the details of her day. They were so brilliantly pulled off by our dear friends over at Blue Bouquet. They did some wonderful stuff with a collection of antique vases including many from Stephanie’s personal collection.
It was a joy to be allowed into their lives and be a witness.
The images:
Stephanie and her wonderful veil and wonderful light.
The day of their wedding Barack Obama was in town to speak. Stephanie’s friend is a big supporter. I found it very story telling.
Jason decided he wanted to get ready by himself and ride to the Webster House solo. Here he is on his way. Shot by Katie.
More great light.
And more.
Waiting for dad in the kitchen prior to the walk.
First sight.
Stephanie’s mom looks on during the ceremony.
Great shot by my assistant Katie of the ceremony.
Love at the ceremony.
Love in the elevator.
Love in the back room.
Ready to be announced.
First dance.
Stephanie and her father. I just love her dad’s weathered hands.
Leaving.
This is still my favorite time of the night when it is all said and done on the way to the hotel.
The end.
Thanks so much guys for letting us be a witness.
Tyler
Tyler–You already know how much I love all of these. Some thoughts: the Barack Button is the perfect story–YES WE CAN; the first kiss picture is simply iconic; the Webster House looks so amazing at night; everything you did with the light that day just takes my breath away; the shots of my very handsome groom (how could you go wrong?); and most of all, my “daddy’s hands” have always been my favorite thing–thank you for capturing that memory. In short–THANK YOU for being witness.
Tyler, you did a fantastic job of telling the story of this intimate wedding. The bride is luminous!
We’ve had several family get-togethers at the Webster House, and I always thought the whole place had so much character! I love all the light coming from those beautiful windows during the ceremony!
Killer images Tyler- just awesome!
Stephanie and Jason, it has been fun getting to know you guys around the studio. You are such a wonderful couple!
Tyler, you did a fantastic as always. I love the Barack image too. These kinds of images become even more powerful as history unfolds, and we are reminded of the cultural climate in which these life milestones took place.
Tyler – Beautiful pix of a gorgeous couple! I love the picture of them kissing in the ballroom. As always your work really mirrors the mood of the event. Lots of love there.
Can’t wait for you to do our wedding!
Tyler,
Each time I see your images, I get more and more excited about the part you’ll play in our big day. These shots were all beautiful.
Looking forward to the next few months!
These are amazing! Great captures Tyler, more more more 🙂
