Unity Village Wedding Ceremony
Scarritt Ballroom Wedding Reception
Kansas City Wedding by Tyler Wirken
Whitney and Ben’s Kansas City wedding was packed full of meaning. I love any time a couple can take memories from their past to create new ones on their wedding day.
From their ceremony taking place at Unity Village where they first realized they were in love. To their dog being in the ceremony and soy bean sprigs in Whitney’s bouquet in honor of her dad. Even down to the couple taking an Uber for a late night burger at the famous Town Topic, where they went on their first date.
They simply put so much thought into every part of the day. From start to finish, everything meant something.
Additionally, who couldn’t love that Jack Stack BBQ catered the event? I sure did. And shooting in the Scarritt Ballroom for the first time? Amazing.
We had a good time playing around in the tower at Unity Village where we found some KILLER light to pause for some quick portraits. All that helps to make for a fantastic wedding, but in the end it boils down to the ones you love that make such a special day possible.
Enjoy a few of my favorite images from the day! I gotta say, I can’t help but love Whitney’s expression of disapproval as they try to clean cake off their faces in the women’s bathroom. 🙂
