Normal Days in Kansas City
The idea behind our Normal Day Sessions is for families to do them every year. Well, at least during the formidable years of childhood, anyways. That way they have a record of those years.
Their kids can look back at those albums, like a collection of encyclopedias, and relive those days. These are more than just family photos. They are family memories.
I can’t wait to hear from those families down the road as to what these pictures mean to them. Can you imagine being a grown up and having every year of your childhood illustrated in a book of professional photos? Priceless.
This is the 4th session I have done for this family and I love how different each one is. The last two years I have documented this family in the same house, same location, but if we just let life happen none of the photos are the same.
It is the essence of what this is all about. Thanks Anne for “getting it” and letting me do my thing.
Here are a few of my favorites from my session with the Young family last Saturday. We danced, we played video games, worked on the holiday lights outside, played with Halloween decorations in the garage, and took Christmas cookies over to the neighbor. All things that need to be remembered.
Enjoy!
